PP’s personal fiance visa experience story
.
One of my students, let’s call him PP, and his US fiance have a very interesting and inspiring story to tell about their fiance visa process.
I was so moved when I read his email, that I personally asked him to allow me to share his story with my readers.

Good morning Prem,
I’m writing this email with huge excitement even after 3 days, me and my fiancé still can’t get over the fact that our visa was approved and the long wait of 193 days is finally over. We feel so relieved that now we can finally get married and be with each other and spend our lives in US. I know you understand how painful it was to be separated from your loved ones and wait for her text messages, video calls and missing birthdays and Christmas that’s meant to be celebrated together.
This is going to be a huge mail that you ever received because I wanted to share all in my heart and our journey with visatutor and you. I hope you take time and enjoy it.
.
OUR CASE :
As you know my fiancé & I we met through Facebook and we had what we considered red flags of our petition with age differences of 5 years, my parents not approving our relationship because of cultural and social views here in [**] and I met her only once for 20 days in 2018 with a relationship of 3 years and [**].
.
In Oct 2018, when me and my fiancé were researching about K-1 petition we found several blogs that gave us horror stories of scam and how your papers can be misinterpreted and interview can turn into interrogation and ugly with RFE’s. We felt hopeless with nobody to help us and top of that naysayers sharing us about the 90-day fiancé episodes to make us feel even worse about our relationship. We only prayed that everything we start and commit to GOD goes well.
That’s when I noticed your comments on [**].com. It was crisp and clear and straight to the point with no confusing responses from you. It caught my attention and I researched of your Youtube videos and landed into your visatutor website in Oct 2018. I surfed for a while reading all those articles, blogs you posted and responses to questions posted by several K1 petitioners for filing for 129-F.
I immediately felt peace for first time reading those materials in your website after months of researching only horror stories in very website. I told my fiancé about it and we purchased 129-F course after reading the blogs that made us feel hopeful than just shooting something in dark.
When I started with 129-F course, me and my fiancé had zero idea about filing the forms, what the USCIS looks for or on what basis the petition would be approved or even the eligibility criteria. And even if we made it through, how the interview is going to turn out and on top of that those red-flags were haunting my sleep. I’d wake up middle of the night for several days at home and at office and whenever I had time and go through your course and take notes and listen to it.
.
129-F PROCESS
I started going through your 129-F course and filling papers in October 2018. At times, I would go through the course over and over again to correct mistakes in paper work and have my fiancé take a second look. I would spend 6-8 hours straight on your website and write you emails. You were so precise, patient and dealt so cool with every question we felt like “This guy knows what he is talking about”.
I never had to look or go to other websites and do my own research.
My fiancé had less time to go through the complete 129-F course and she was also busy with several things, so I took responsibility while she supported me and helped me get the papers that we needed, the circumstances of meeting statement, proof of relationship and IMB statement. When we filed the petition in March [**], we knew right away that our case was front loaded with pictures and statements required to build our case with strong foundation.
We were confident of not getting any RFE’s. It happened like wise and we were NOA-2 approved with no RFE’s on June [**]. We felt we made through a huge valley but only with a mountain to face and cross in next few months.
.
BIOMETRICS & MEDICAL EXAM
As soon as we realized our petition was at NOA-2 approved, we purchased your course for K-1 interview and I started to go through for filling the I-134 Adjustment of Status papers. Your course helped us to plan ahead and schedule my biometrics and medical exam in subsequent days without wasting any moment waiting for NVC ready. The day I arrived home after finishing my biometrics and medical exam is day when I received packet from US Embassy to take my biometrics and medical exams and fill the DS-160. If I had waited for the email, I’d have rushed up scheduling biometrics, medical exams and filling out DS-160 and arranging the papers required for interview at last minute. It saved me time, thanks to you.
.
INTERVIEW PREPARATION :
Our case was quite different from any other but I only prepared what was relevant to our case, red-flags about age difference, about my parents not approving of our relationship, my [**]. The course prepared me on what to expect than memorizing some random questions that is irrelevant to my case. Time was precious and I am glad I used the course to full extend to reap its benefits. I’d say I haven’t found any website like this collectively with so much of information about K1 process.
.
UNEXPECTED SURGERY :
I woke up with a sharp pain in my abdomen on Sep [**] afternoon and I had to be taken into emergency surgery to have my appendix removed. This came shocking to us and our initial thought was if our visa will be delayed. My fiancé told me to postpone the visa interview and take care of my health even if the visa is delayed. My health wasn’t the best and I had second thoughts if I’d make to interview in one piece. I told my fiancé we do not want to take decisions or postpone and see how fast I recover with antibiotics and IV. Thankfully I was discharged on 3rd day and I was able to move. I was very calm and knew I had done best with our petition so far and that i need to relax to make the best of my interview. I rested well and had good food for few days with no caffeine, just juice and fruits and had my mind and body sound with prayers and bible reading before I left to [**] for US visa interview.
.
INTERVIEW DAY EXPERIENCE:
My appointment was at 7:15 AM at [**] Embassy on Oct [**]. I booked hotel closer to Embassy at a walkable distance though it was very expensive. I prayed and left the hotel and I reached the waiting spot at 6:15 AM and there were like 300 people already before me waiting for different visa interviews. When I went through security check, they told I wasn’t allowed inside with a fitness watch (it wasn’t smart watch) and I had to go outside and give the watch to a cop asking him to keep it until I come.
I went inside again and they started to check my passport, birth certificate copy, medical exam reports and police clearance certificate and gave me a token with code [**] to wait. There were 15 counters and 1-10 were used for documents verification and 11-15 were used by US consular officers for interview.
.
DOCUMENTS VERIFICATION :
They called my token number at [**] for documents verification and this guy asked me of my I-134 and IRS while he went to get our petition file. When he returned, I gave him the entire packet I prepared as you mentioned in K-1 Interview course – The [**] Cover Letter, I-134, Employment Letter, 6 months Paystubs, IRS tax forms from 2018, 2017 and 2016.
While he was checking the papers, he asked couple of questions.
Who is calling you to the US ?
Is this your and fiancé’s first marriage ?
He removed the AOS cover letter, 2017 and 2016 IRS tax forms, W2, Employment letters and Paystubs and returned back to me saying we don’t need it and that he needed only I-134 and 2018 IRS.
I took a look at our petition that was placed on the counter and noticed a small note in front our K-1 petition file. They had briefing of our case with 3 point summary stating my fiancé met me in [**] but it wasn’t our case, I met her in USA and I immediately thought they misinterpreted our case. I was also thinking the cover letter explains everything and employment letters are the only proof that my fiancé is right now working.
My thoughts were saying that our case has only become weaker now with misinterpretation of our case and also removing of all the important papers for AOS. I assumed I will have a lot of explanation to do to Consular Officer at interview. He checked my documents and said I’d be called for interview and I can wait.
.
INTERVIEW WITH CONSULAR OFFICER :
I was called to [**] after 1 hour and half hours of wait and felt it was longest wait of my life. I smiled and greeted her with “Good Morning Officer”. She was a [**] and did not smile back but looked at her computer. She asked me to take oath by raising hands that everything in petition and what I am saying is only but truth. I took my oath. She started to ask me questions and kept typing in the computer and also making an eye contact here and there when she asked questions.
.
QUESTIONS FROM CONSULAR OFFICER :
How do you know your fiancé ?
When did you meet your fiancé ?
What does your fiancé do in the US ?
When did you visit US and how long did you stay ?
Are you and your fiancé doing anything to reconcile with your parents ?
How did your fiancé introduce you to [**]?
Who stays with her along with [**]?
What does [**] think of you ?
What does your fiancé’s father do ?
What does your fiancé’s mother do ?
Tell me about [**] father ?
How do you communicate with each other ?
Where does she live in the US ?
Does [**] go to school or university ?
Did you live with her when you were there ?
Where are you planning to get married ?
Will you work in the US ?
What do you like about her ?
When were you baptized ?
Why did she change her job ?
After few questions, she said I will be right back and went inside to check few things and came to her desk after 10 minutes. At this point, I remembered that when we filed the petition my fiancé was working for a different employer and now I’d have to show the new documents that was returned to me at previous documents verification counter. I raised my hands and told I have something to say and explained my fiancé works for new company now and I have some documents to show. She said, she wants to see them and she filed it with our petition after going through the employment letters and asked me why did my fiancé changed her job ? I used the best chance available that the time to make our case look strong.
At every question she asked, I was point on and precise and I was only prepared for questions relevant to our case and knew why she asked me that question, for example who stays with your fiancé along with [**] ? This was to cross check the dependents in the household in AOS. The officer knew I was spot on with every questions cause I did not stammer or make up stories or take time to think of answer.
This was only possible because of the course you made and it was very helpful from the perspective of where the consular officer is coming from to target your case which you referred as homing in situations.
To my surprise, she did not ask any of my POR pictures, my call logs, my video calls, bills of purchase for marriage preparation I took along with me but asked only questions. The front-loading our case with help of your course with proofs of our relationship and statement on our 129-F petition made them feel this was trustworthy case to approve and there was no further proofs or checks required. She smiled and said “ CONGRATULATIONS” took the slip that said “ YOUR VISA IS APPROVED” and gave to me and briefed me to marry before 90 days after I arrive in US. I felt so relieved.
I felt the painful and longest wait of my life has finally come to an end. I broke down with tears in my eyes as I walked out of US embassy and there was already showers of blessing waiting. It was raining. I thanked GOD with a deep breath.
GOD orchestrated everything about our relationship so far right from the beginning and I knew GOD put you into our lives to have our petition approved. I’d like to say that your course was 100% a blue-print to success and we pray that your course reaches many who are really feeling like they are rowing a boat in middle of the sea with a genuine relationship and no one to help for.
The BIBLE says “So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. – Hebrews 10: 35-36
Me and my fiancé are ecstatic that we were confident and persevered through every naysayers, the valleys and mountains and were focused of our tomorrow all along the process that now we are enjoying the fruit of what GOD promised for us.
Thank you Prem for you were also part of our journey and made it possible.

Great story Prem, as you said, I was on the edge of my seat.
I was feeling nauseated out of anxiety for them just by reading the interview part as it looks like such a monster to me at this point in our process.
I am on the excruciating waiting game for the USCIS to touch our case, but I am pretty sure that after your I-129F course I did my best. I even had a little meltdown when I handed it to the US Postal Service as it took so much work and dedication to fill.
Although we don’t have major red flags in our case, reading this story has changed my mind a little bit about purchasing the next course. As he said, being prepared is the key here and we already had changes in information from last September till now.
Again, you have always a complete and amazing content regarding the K1! Funny story, as I now can recite the next steps we will be going through when people ask me, they tell me I should open my course, I always tell them that I wouldn’t because I will always redirect people to your content as it helped me so much and that’s the only reason I know so much about the K1 myself!
Very inspiring story. Thanks for sharing it, Prem! Congratulations, PP and fiance! Our interview is in less than two weeks, with medicals all last week! This story helps, for sure.
Hello, I am really hoping you can help!
I did my medical exam this week and we can now go ahead with the final interview which is so exciting. However after meeting with my tax man a few days ago, I have discovered that due to my most recent trip in the States I should have filed taxes in America for this past tax year. I’m not sure if it is a question on the DS-160 or I-129f form, but I was not aware when I was filling them out. Can I deal with that after the interview, or should I postpone the interview and get it dealt with just in case?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
